Bookings & Arrivals

What are the check-in and check out times?

Check‑in from 2:00 pm.
Check‑out by 10:00 am.

Can I check in early or check out late?

Early check-in and late check-out may be available on request and subject to availability. Additional charges may apply — please contact reception at +64 3 409 2492 for arrangements.

What is the age policy?

Guests must be 18+ to book; photo ID may be requested at check‑in. Guests under 18 stay with a parent or guardian.

What is the children & extra-person policy?

Infants 0–2 years: complimentary in existing bedding or a portacot (on request, subject to availability).
Children 3–13 years: stay free using existing bedding.
Extra person: some rooms can accommodate a single extra bed (NZD 100 per night), strictly subject to availability and booked direct.

How do I guarantee my booking?

A valid credit card with sufficient funds is required. For website bookings, the full amount is charged at the time of booking.

Cancellation & Refunds

What is the cancellation policy?

Best Available / Standard Rate: 48‑hour cancellation policy. Inside 48 hours, or for no‑shows, up to the full reservation may apply.

Prepaid Flexi‑date Rates: Discounted, prepaid and non‑refundable; must be booked ≥3 days prior to arrival. You may move to a new date; any rate difference applies (no refund if the new rate is lower).

Specials & Packages: Individual terms are shown during booking.

How are refunds processed?

- Refunds (where applicable) are returned to the same card used for payment.
- Credit‑card surcharges are not refundable. For American Express refunds, a NZD 250 fee applies.

Payments & Security

Which payment methods are accepted, and are there surcharges?

Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted for online bookings.

Card surcharges: Visa/Mastercard 2.5%, Amex 3.5%. EFTPOS/direct credit do not incur a surcharge.

The resort is cash‑free; please plan to pay by card or EFTPOS. All pricing is NZD and includes 15% GST.

Is online payment secure?

Yes. Payments are processed via a PCI‑DSS compliant platform (DPS Payment Express) using SSL encryption, in line with NZ regulations.

Room & Amenities

What room types are available?

Executive Shotover Suite; Shotover Suite; Coronet Two‑Bedroom Suite; Superior Shotover View Room; Shotover River View Room; Accessible River View Room; Superior Room; Deluxe Room.

What’s included with my room?

All rooms offer contemporary comforts with alpine styling; many feature balconies or terraces with views to the Shotover River or alpine ranges (room‑type dependent).

Is parking available?

Yes—on‑site parking will be available for guests.

Is the resort smoke‑free?

Yes. Coronet Ridge has a strict non‑smoking policy. A NZD 200 cleaning fee applies if smoke is detected.

Is Wi-Fi available?

Yes, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the resort, including all suites, the restaurant, and leisure areas.

Are pets allowed?

For the comfort of all guests, pets are not permitted.

Housekeeping & Guest Services

Is daily housekeeping included?

Yes. Daily housekeeping is included for all guests. Those staying multiple nights may opt for eco-friendly linen and towel reuse to support our sustainability programme.

Is room service or a minibar available?

Yes. Selected suites include in-room minibars stocked with local refreshments. Room service is available during restaurant hours.

Dining

Where can I dine at the hotel?

Elevation Restaurant & Bar: a panoramic dining experience with locally sourced produce and Central Otago wines.

Dine al fresco on the terrace, enjoy après‑ski cocktails, or settle by one of the cosy fireplaces.

Wellness — Day Spa & Leisure

What are the wellness facilities at Coronet Ridge Resort?

A serene Day Spa with rejuvenating treatments.
Outdoor hot pools with alpine views.
An indoor pool, steam room and sauna, gym, and squash court.

Spa & Wellness

What are the spa opening hours?

The pool and sauna area is open daily from 6am to 9pm.
The Day Spa is open for treatment bookings from 9am to 5pm.

Are children allowed in the spa?

Children are welcome but must be supervised by an adult at all times. We do not have a lifeguard on duty in the pool area. Selected treatments are suitable for guests aged 12 and above.

Meetings, Weddings & Celebrations

Do you host meetings and corporate retreats?

Yes. The Conference Room is fully equipped with modern AV (data projector, screens, TV/video, flip charts, large whiteboard). Boardroom‑style seating for 24–30 delegates, with breakout rooms available.

Do you host weddings and private celebrations?

Yes—choose intimate alpine celebrations with access to the restaurant, bar, terraces and wellness facilities. The events team will tailor spaces, timings and menus.

Packages & Vouchers

Do you offer packages or gift vouchers?

Yes—seasonal stay packages and gift vouchers are available. Vouchers are valid for 24 months from purchase and can be used for accommodation or food & beverage (not exchangeable for cash).

Transportation & Accessibility

How do I get to the resort from Queenstown Airport?

Coronet Ridge Resort is located approximately 15 minutes’ drive from Queenstown Airport. Guests can travel by taxi, private transfer, or rental car. Airport shuttles can also be pre-arranged — please contact our team at +64 3 409 2492 or stay@coronetridge.co.nz for assistance or recommendations.

Is there public transport nearby?

Yes. The nearest bus stop is around a 5-minute walk from the resort, with regular services to Queenstown town centre and Arrowtown.

Is the property wheelchair accessible?

Yes. Coronet Ridge Resort offers wheelchair-accessible rooms, lift access, and dedicated accessible parking. All key areas of the property, including dining and leisure facilities, are designed for easy mobility access.
